Fully remote course delivered via distance learning.

• The course is made up of three Units
• 115 guided learning hours (guided learning hours are the awarding bodies estimate of how long a learner will need to spend studying to complete their qualification).
• 17 credits at Level 4 (credits can be used for “credit transfer” towards other qualifications. They can be added together and built up over time).
• This is a distance-learning course that can be studied in your own time.
• Assignments will be accessed via the online learning portal, where they are to be completed and returned to the course tutor for assessment.
• You will receive timely feedback to improve your work should you need to.
• Personal Tutoring and coaching from a qualified teacher (the importance of this cannot be underestimated).
• After the successful completion of the course, you will receive your nationally recognised certificate.
• Suggested completion time – 170 hours Total Qualification Time.
• You can verify your own assessors (two assessors required), or they can be provided by us. Full details can be provided on request.

(TQT)* with completion taking up to one year*(TQT) is the total amount of time, in hours, expected to be spent by a Student to achieve a qualification. It includes both guided learning hours (which are listed separately) and hours spent in preparation, study and assessment.

How does the course work?

There are no exams to be taken during the course, you will work through your assignments which will be marked by your personal tutor. They are there to support you throughout the course and will be your main contact for any issues or questions that you may have. This will mainly be through email/online feedback, but you can schedule a call if you want to speak with them directly.

Once you have completed your course you will receive a hard copy and digital copy of your certificate. There are no additional fees for certificates except for replacement hard copies which will cost £25.

You will understand the context and principles of internal quality assurance, understand how to plan the internal quality assurance of assessment, understand techniques and criteria for monitoring the quality of assessment internally, understand how to internally maintain and improve the quality of assessment, understand how to manage information relevant to the internal quality assurance of assessment and understand the legal and good practice requirements for the internal quality assurance of assessment.

Internally assure the quality of assessment.

Be able to plan the internal quality assurance of assessment, be able to internally evaluate the quality of assessment, be able to internally maintain and improve the quality of assessment, be able to manage information relevant to the internal quality assurance of assessment and be able to maintain legal and good practice requirements when internally monitoring and maintaining the quality of assessment.

Once you have either paid in full or the initial deposit you will be contacted via email by the assessor team to begin your coursework.

Learners should be qualified assessors and have experience of working in assessment. You should ideally hold a Level 2 (A-C) in English and Maths. We will review eligibility on a case by case basis. A good standard of written English is essential, please inform us of any specific learner needs.
